Twin Moon is the online store that sells my designs, managed and run by my twin sister. A bigger success than we ever thought possible - with over 11,000 sales and almost 3,000 5 star reviews - I thought that with its growing platform and reach it was due a rebrand to better reflect the shop’s values, products and personality.

Though the branding had become a recognisable part of Twin Moon, we felt that it didn’t accurately reflect the business. The idea was to maintain the fundamental concept of the logo, but expand the visual identity into something that could be better applied throughout the brand’s touchpoints. I created a vibrant palette built off of primary colours to create fun and dynamic visuals that would stand out against the onslaught of muted, neutral tones seen on social media and Etsy. This also has an emotional impact on prospective customers - not only do the colours draw the eye, but they also build excitement when combined with the fun visual system I implemented.

I created a set of digital stickers for the brand that can be used in templated social media posts to add some personality across the brand. I intended this to feel like scrapbooking or journalling, a core component of most people’s youths which enforces that sense of nostalgia that I want to evoke.

All of the aforementioned design elements, and the vibrant primary colours, come together to create a visual identity bordering on maximalist, emphasising that sense of youthfulness, comfort and nostalgia that we want our products to represent. We hope our products can transport viewers to a different time or place, thus evoking an emotional reaction and it’s important that the branding facilitates that.
